Orbital welding is a specialized welding process in which the arc is rotated mechanically through 360° around a static workpiece, in a continuous process. Orbital welding was developed as a solution for a higher quality, repeatable welding process. With automated welding, the computer-controlled process runs with little intervention from the operator.

Orbital welding systems easily out-performs manual welders as it can weld all day every day. Hence, the production rate will double the production rate of manual weld process.
